A man trying to sell some puppies found himself dodging bullets, police said in Kansas City, MO.
Shane Baker said he heard a knock on his door Sunday evening. It was a teen who said he wanted to buy one of the Chinese shar-pei puppies that were for sale. He said the boy and another man with him weren’t happy about the price he was asking.Baker said the boy got into a car with the man, 18-year-old Arthur Ruff. He said Ruff was angry, and suddenly pulled out a gun and opened fire.
The two took off in the car, and Baker went after them. As he called 911 from his cell phone, he spotted their car around the corner at a 7-Eleven. Police responded quickly and took the two into custody.
Baker said he has a license to carry a gun, and Ruff is lucky he didn’t have his gun with him or he could have gotten hurt.”Whatever you are doing is not worth it, you’re going to pull a gun on a person that is a better shot than you are,” said Baker. “I hope you look at this dog and think of me, how stupid this was.”
